There is someone on the other side of my belly button...

Did I forget about this or what? Over one year since I even visited? So MANY things have happened. It seems in my last posts I was all about my weight loss. Well, I'm happy to say I am no longer doing Jenny Craig, but I will start in Oct or Nov 2009. My total weight loss came to 54 pounds! I was down to a size 16-18. Almost to my goal, however I met a better goal...more like a miracle goal! After months of fertility treatments, we did it..we got pregnant on Dec 3, 2009!!! I'm 4 months pregnant and life is great! Pregnancy is strange, if I can say that. I don't feel pregnant. I'm a LUCKY one. What morning sickness? Food aversions, really? Smells? Nothing bothers me! I'm only tired more often, I'm forever running pee and my belly is growing! I'm still in many of my regular clothes, but I have started wearing the maternity clothes too (more comfortable!) At 12 weeks, the Dr's called the baby a "girl" and on March 30th hopefully we will get confirmation on that. We've agreed on a name Madison Elizabeth Fitz. Markus picked out the 1st name and I choose the middle (to his dislike!) However, I really want Elizabeth...it is something I feel very strong about. I love to say her nick name already...Maddie Beth...The way I see it, he got the first and the last name, I did 9 months of work...I can have the middle name. I think he will grow to love it, just as I have. I'm pretty certain I felt her last Friday, but I have not felt anything since. It was exactly what everyone is telling me to feel for...butterflies. I felt it twice and it was surreal!!! 5 more months and I will be able to hold what I am feeling!

Reading my past blog, it seems I also need to tell you all of an adoption Markus and I made in Feb 2008. Her name is Molly. She is a 2 year old English Pointer I found on Petfinder.com. Molly was on death row in Michigan. We bought her a one way plane ticket to Vegas and life hasn't been the same or quite since. She is a bundle of energy and her only desire in life is to be loved. She has ate my leather jacket, my sweater, my pillows, the coach and the worst damage happened to the front room carpet. She ate it. I mean she ate a 6ft wide circle. Because of that, I have a beautiful hardwood floor now!!! Molly and Daisy get along great....Daisy at times gives me the look of "mom, when are you going to take her back", but she knows that Molly is a keeper. Pictures of her will soon be posted.
